This is the total number of American deaths during combat in all wars combined. Please take the time to reflect on what this number means to you and to all of us. Over one million fifteen thousand men and women gave their lives for us during combat. The numbers are startling.

Ask yourself these questions: Do I not live in the greatest country in the world? Do I not have all the freedoms to enable the enjoyment of life, the pursuit of happiness, and the excersise of free religion and speech? And one last question: Where did we get these freedoms? They were earned for us by all those who fought for this country, including those who gave their lives for us.

Therefore, isn’t it only right to put aside one day out of the year to pay our respect and honor those who gave the ultimate sacrifice? If your answer is YES, the please sign the petition.
